The Carolina Hurricanes submitted their roster to the league office but they sent defenseman Ryan Murphy to the AHL to get under the salary and are expected to bring him back prior to the opener. Defenseman Joni Pitkanen is expected to go on LTIR.
The players on the roster are as follows with possible line combinations and defensive pairings on opening night.
Some Hurricanes are injured and day... to day so the lineup is subject to change because of that. Lines may also be switched up by head coach Kirk Muller.
Format is left wing/center/right wing and Lines 1-4 but it is very subject to change:
Jiri Tlusty/Eric Staal/Alex Semin
Jeff Skinner/Jordan Staal/Nathan Gerbe
Tuomo Ruutu/Elias Lindholm/Patrick Dwyer
Drayson Bowman/Riley Nash/Brett Sutter
13th forward Kevin Westgarth

Justin Faulk/Andrej Sekera
Ron Hainsey/Tim Gleason

7th defenseman Mike Komisarek, 8th defenseman Brett Bellemore.
Matthew Corrente is still on the roster but Ryan Murphy is expected to be brought back up to the NHL.
